New High Top from Vans Vault, Hi Fi LX

Alright, alright I know what you are thinking when you see this sneaker, but no it is not a Supra Sneaker, it is a Vans.  This is the new Vans Vault Hi Fi LX which is basically just the Vans Sk8-Hi's that have been made a bit higher, quite interesting if you ask me.  You might think Vans is trying to ride on the coat tails of Supra and their new Supra Society while trying to capitalize on this ultra high-top fad going on right now, but what you need to remember is that Vans lead the way for all skateboard sneaker companies out there.  Just look at how many companies have their own knock-off version of the Chukka, Half-Cab or era...Vans definitely lead the way for vulcanized shoes.  This sneaker is extremely tall and with all that extra space, vans added four lace hooks to the upper ankle.  There are three different colorways for this particular sneaker, Gold satin, Black Horse Hair (which looks really tight) and a Zebra stripe horse hair.  I have a feeling these sneakers will be real hot this year...look out for these kicks to drop in August 2009.
