I am sure by now everyone has heard of Kenny Powers' big contract with K-Swiss, but we had been hearing about a Kenny Powers inspired sneaker from Nike SB for a while, and I am so glad this thing finally came out. If you don't know who Kenny Powers is, I suggest you go out and purchase Eastbound and Down Season 1 on DVD as soon as possible...Eastbound and Down is quite possibly the funniest show I have ever seen...it really hits home being set in North Carolina too...super redneck and trashy, so hilarious. The Kenny Powers Dunk Mid is a black on black suede and leather combination...The shoe is black on black because Kenny Powers is known for always wearing all black, to set apart his bad boy persona...Stevie Janowski has also been known to wear all black...to express his rage...hopefully he'll get a sneaker soon too. The most eye-catching aspect of this shoe has got to be the laces...they really set the shoe off. Recently, Nike Skateboarding released a whole new line of backpacks and bags...we'll go through each one this week, but today we are starting with the Shuttle. This is a super deluxe and super nice bag to travel with. It comes in black and features a convertible strap system which allows it to carry two complete boards and two extra decks...which is pretty amazing. I've seen bags that hold maybe one complete, but wasn't really very comfortable to carry...this one holds two, and one board allows the bag to roll, making it easier to travel with. This bag also features a removable shaving kit and laptop compartment, so it can fulfill the needs of a dirty skater kid, or a suped up business man who actually cares enough to shave. The amount of organization and stash pockets in this bag is pretty amazing...no more throwing all your shirts, socks and underwear in your backpack and calling it a day...this baby makes it like you are traveling with your organized droors and shelves...if you actually had organized droors and shelves. Check out the latest exclusive sneaker to come out of Adidas Skateboarding Summer Collection, the Dennis Busenitz pro model in a maroon suede with white outsole...so stoked on this guy and his shoe. Dennis Busenitz is pretty much the fastest dude in skateboarding, always going at least twice as fast as everyone else...great style, great tricks, great dude...deserves a sick shoe. This shoe is obviously based on one of Adidas' most iconic soccer shoes, the Copa Mundial. The Busenitz shoe is extremely simple, but is still an excellent skate shoe. Dennis was extremely involved with the conception of this shoe...he worked closely with the design team to ensure that his shoe performs exactly to his specifications. Some of the features of this shoe include: a PU model sockliner for extra comfort, Geofit collar lining, customizable tongue so you can wear it how ever you want, recessed eyelets for ollie protection and an extra set of laces. The metallic gold accents on this sneaker really put it over the top and make an excellent sneaker even better.
