The guys over at Nike SB are really trying to start the new year out right and release a really bangin' shoe to get everyone's attention, and I think they got it! This exclusive sneaker consists of a leather upper panel that is comprised of a number of different colors, all relating to various superhero styles. Just looking at the side panel of this sneaker you can tell this is a sneaker that has taken much inspiration from the comic books. The shoe includes red, yellow, black, blue and white; all of these colors together really make the details of this sneaker pop! The red swoosh is surrounded by the "boom" explosion graphic, giving this sneaker even more of a crime fighting, superhero vibe. We are going to start 2010 off with one of my favorite sneakers Nike SB has ever put out, the Dunk High Pro "Venom," or just known as the Venom Dunks. If you have ever read any blog entries before, than you might know that I am a sucker for simple black and white sneakers and these Nike SB Dunks are no exception. The name and colorway was obviously inspired by Venom, the classic villain from the Spiderman Comics. The TK Society sneaker is pretty similar to the Skytop, they are both ridiculously high, outrageous and both look awesome in this colorway. The original colorway really took off and gained popularity when Jay Z appeared in the Rihanna Umbrella video sporting the gold and silver sneakers. The release of of the TK Society in this colorway is an homage to the legendary release of the Skytop in this colorway. The release of TK Society in Gold and Silver is an extremely limited and exclusive release. Supra footwear is releasing less than 900 pairs of these bad boys in the U.S. These are going to be pretty hard to get a hold of, so keep checking back here for the latest releases on eBay.

In case you dont know, this sneaker is designed and influenced by professional skateboarder and rapper, Terry Kennedy. The Society was definitely another one of those shoes that has an acquired taste, much like the Muska Skytop...some people love it, some people hate it. It is definitely something different...not too many people going for the double straps. The four main colorways to be released are Black Perf Leather/ Red Outsole, Red Perf Leather, Grey Patent Leather, and Purple Suede.
