Adidas has come out with a twist on a classic shoe which honors last years NBA Champions. With the beginning of the NBA season coming up fast, Adidas has decided to do something that will make a lot of people happy, and probably some a little angry. Adidas has taken the timeless classic, "The Superstar" and given it a brand new colorway that will be a gigantic hit among serious Los Angeles Lakers fans. The gave the Superstar the bold and bright colorway of the Lakers; as you can see from the picture, these babies are pretty out there and pretty high on the attention scale.
Rather than sticking with the traditional yellow and purple color scheme that has been done by many shoe companies in the past, Adidas really takes it up a knotch and swaps out the yellow for a bright, gold metallic leather. To accent the gold leather, there are areas of yellow and purple suede throughout the sneaker along th heel, the sides and on the tongue; I think the white toecap really sets off these colors as well. For all the true fans out there, inside the sneaker on the sole you will find the number 15 to commemorate their impressive 15th NBA title. Check out this hot new release complements of Adidas Skateboarding. Adidas has always been on the up and coming with the latest styles and designs...especially their sometimes crazy colorways (just take a look at any of the Mark Gonzales custom colorways). Their latest release is the newest Superstar Skate Vulc, and believe me, this is a very, very, very nice shoe. This shoe work great as an accessory to an outfit, but works even better for skating. I have skated numerous pairs of this sneaker and it is one of the best shoes I've skated in...just look at it, vulcanized sole, suede mid panels...given a lot of sneakers are a lot like that these days, but these are the real deal. The soles are super grippy and just seem to work for skating. This colorway is a quite interesting one, it is obviously black, with a white sole and white tag on the tongue, but the red is the most dominating color in this shoe. The red is known as Cardinal red, and it works perfectly with this shoe, one of the best shades of red I have come across. Adidas also did this sneaker right with the rubber toecap...I know you skaters growing up in the early 90's will appreciate that one. Overall, the Superstar Skate is one of my favorite shoes of all time, and I'm super stoked they released a dope colorway on a vulcanized version of this shoe.
