As we mentioned the other day, Nike SB put up a mini site for the release of the newest sneakers dropping this month...the Dunks and Blazers that were designed by Eric Koston and Brian Anderson, two of the sickest dudes ever...and some of the sickest releases from Nike SB. The Icon x Icon pack consists of the Dunk Low (Blue Ribbon/ Metallic Vegas Gold/ Varsity Red) from Koston and the Blazer CS (Black/ Orange Blaze) designed by Anderson. As part of the Icon x Icon release, Nike put together an interview with the dudes talking about the development process and their personal ideas that went into the sneakers. It's pretty sick, check it out.
I hope all of you out there are as excited about this release of this sneaker as I am. It will hit harder for all the skate fans out there more so than the average sneaker collector because this is Eric Koston's signature shoe we are talking about here...probably one of the greatest skaters of all time, if not the greatest...in my book he is without a doubt the most stylish, consistent, funny and humble skaters I have ever seen...the guy is seriously a living legend. Anyways, enough about Eric, lets talk about the shoes. As soon as I heard he had left Lakai for Nike, I knew they would have something sick in store for his first signature shoe from their line and this is one of the first previews of his shoe that we have been able to see. I found this photo over on sneaker news and I am stoked. Nike revealed this shoe, along with many others including Omar Salazar's first shoe at the 2009 Skatepark of Tampa Showcase. According to them, this is still just speculated to be Koston's shoe, but I think it goes along with him and his personality pretty well. It is one of the best colorways for the Dunk I have ever seen. Koston is doing it right with the suede panels and the gold swoosh really sets these shoes off. Check back tomorrow for an update on Omar Salazar's shoe, that is going to be a real sick shoe...that is all i will say for now. Check out the following Eric Koston Nike SB Dunk Lows for sale through the following eBay auctions.
I'm sure that, by now, everyone has probably seen and heard of the new signature sneaker from Paul Rodriguez and Nike SB...well, in case you havent, the Nike SB P-Rod III will be coming out to all Nike SB accounts next saturday, exactly one week from today. In celebration of this new sneaker hitting the streets, Nike went all out and made a real sick commercial for the shoe. I really love this commercial because there are many celebrity cameos throughout the commercial. You will probably notice Kobe Bryant and Ice-Cube, but I am more excited to see the newest addition to the Nike SB Team, Eric Koston. Koston is by far my favorite skater ever...he is a legend and still killin it; I can't wait to see what his signature Nike SB Shoe will look like. Also, look out for Nike SB Am skater, Theotis Beasely...that kid has a real sick style. Anyways, peep the extended version of this commercial below...its funny, and there is some real sick skate action in there. Also check out some of the classic Paul Rodriguez Signature Sneakers below through auctions on eBay.
