If you haven't noticed already, Vans likes to release special edition versions of many of their most popular sneakers in special collections...and this is no different, this is the Khaki collection which features many of my favorite sneakers of all time...the Sk8-Hi, Chukka, Slip On and Authentic...only thing missing in my opinion is the Half-Cab. The Half-Cab would have completed this collection for sure. All of these models feature green canvas on the upper panels which are complemented by bronze accents and laces with a bronze stripe that lines the top of the midsole. In my opinion, all of these models are very sick in this colorway. They have a nice casual look to them...nothing crazy at all...they can be appropriate in many instances. The Vans Khaki Collection should be out pretty, so keep your eyes peeled...in the mean time, you can check out other Vans Sneakers on eBay in the store.
Pretty hyped on these sneakers...this is the newest collaboration between OG skate shoe brand Vans, and East Coast powerhouse skateboard company 5Boro. Anyone on the East coast who knows anything about true skateboarding knows who and what 5Boro is. 5Boro is one of the main reasons for skateboarding's growth and popularity in New York City. Legendary skater, Steve Rodriguez is the man behind the company so you know it is in good hands and also that there is no chance of this brand souring. I really respect Vans for supporting and believing in smaller, more 'core' companies like 5Boro. Not only does this sneaker represent awesomeness but it looks pretty sick too. The sneaker is composed of mainly black suede with red accents throughout the shoe, along with the 5Boro logo along the side panels. The shoe laces are also pretty cool...the 5 individual boroughs of NYC printed repeatedly along the laces. The Vans stripe is the only non suede on this shoe; the stripe is a nice black leather. These should be available now so go out and pick them up!
Think of the craziest, most outlandish colorway you have ever seen...this new colorway of the Vans Half Cab might have it beat. This is one of the loudest, attention getting sneakers I have come across in a while...you are pretty much guaranteed to stand out in these puppies. The preferred name for this particular colorway is multi-neon. This shoe is a very complex mix of yellow, orange, blue and pink...it is also a nice mixture of suede and smooth leather. As with most Half Cabs, this one has a white midsole and padded black tongue. Trust me...if you are trying to stand out in anyway, or call attention to yourself...this is the way to do it!
