Well the highly anticipated first signature sneaker from Eric Koston and Nike SB has finally dropped in shops across the country…MAYBE EVEN THE WORLD…yeah the whole world. damn, pretty sure i just blogged about some janoski pro models yesterday…Nikes erryday y’hearme…fuck that shit. The Koston 1SB is available right now in three excellent colorways…the vibrant sport red/tourmaline, the concord/metallic gold and the super sick and classy Black/Dark Grey colorway…keep it classy always.

The Koston 1 SB is an extremely lightweight sneaker that features the new Lunarlon insole for extra impact absorption and comfort. The upper panels on this sneaker are very interesting…it is nearly one-piece solid suede…this sneaker definitely takes a few inspirational features from the Nike SB Bruin (that is a super sick shoe btw). I’m not sure how many of you dudes that look at this blog actually skate, but if you checked the berrics recently then you have probably seen that newest commercial with Eric Koston and Kobe Bryant…the biggest dude in skateboarding and the biggest dude in basketball, pretty sick. Well, that commercial didn’t really say much…but then I checked Hypebeast and saw this thing, the Kobe Bryant x Nike SB Zoom Eric Koston 1…and then it all made sense…pretty kurl.

Warning! This post has to do with skateboarding and skateboarding news…not so much about the sneakers this time. Eric Koston, who has probably been everybody’s favorite skater at some point in time, last week officially announced who his newest shoe sponsor would be after leaving Lakai…and it is Nike SB Footwear. Koston will join the team with many of my already favorite skaters, BRIAN ANDERSON, STEFAN JANOSKI, CHET CHILDRESS, homestate hero JUSTIN BROCK. Here is what Koston officially said about this new relationship:

“Not only am I psyched to be a part of the great group of guys that makes up the Nike SB team, but I’m equally as excited to work with them creatively. I’m sure many people know that a lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a f*cking kid in a candy store when it comes to this partnership between Nike and I.”

I think this news is sick…i’m sure we will see a Koston pro model shoe from Nike SB sometime in the near future, so you better believe we will be keeping up on that news front. So, once again, KOSTON ON NIKE…we now return you to your regular sneaker specific news, thank you.
