We have added another sneaker to the 'Most Exclusive' collection...The Nike SB "Griptape" Dunk Mid. This is a super sick sneaker that deserves a lot of recognition...it is just so simple and stylish...I cannot find an aspect of this sneaker that I do not like. Check out the whole review here.
I hope all of you out there are as excited about this release of this sneaker as I am. It will hit harder for all the skate fans out there more so than the average sneaker collector because this is Eric Koston's signature shoe we are talking about here...probably one of the greatest skaters of all time, if not the greatest...in my book he is without a doubt the most stylish, consistent, funny and humble skaters I have ever seen...the guy is seriously a living legend. Anyways, enough about Eric, lets talk about the shoes. As soon as I heard he had left Lakai for Nike, I knew they would have something sick in store for his first signature shoe from their line and this is one of the first previews of his shoe that we have been able to see. I found this photo over on sneaker news and I am stoked. Nike revealed this shoe, along with many others including Omar Salazar's first shoe at the 2009 Skatepark of Tampa Showcase. According to them, this is still just speculated to be Koston's shoe, but I think it goes along with him and his personality pretty well. It is one of the best colorways for the Dunk I have ever seen. Koston is doing it right with the suede panels and the gold swoosh really sets these shoes off. Check back tomorrow for an update on Omar Salazar's shoe, that is going to be a real sick shoe...that is all i will say for now. Alright, this is one of the newest Nike SB Dunk Lows that is part of the 3rd Custom series being put out by Nike. This particular dunk was inspired and designed by amateur skater Daryl Angel...that is one sick thing about Nike SB; the pro's aren't the only ones who are able to design and have a say in the design and look of the shoes. This sneaker is a really cool black and baltic blue colorway. One addition to this sneaker that really makes it stand out is the red stitching around the swoosh and the Nike on the heel. The insole also has some really cool hidden features...there is an angel and a demon printed on the insole. Again, this is part of this month's Nike SB Release, so keep your eyes peeled for these hot new Dunks! Check out some of the past releases from previous Nike SB Custom Series below!
