Here is another favorite Nike SB Dunk Low from the past…the other day we talked about a pretty old but memorable Dunk…the 720 Degrees Dunk.  This is one of my favorite colorways, this is the Nike SB Dunk Low Hawaii Edition aka The Pele Dunk SB; these shoes were released in February 2006 and it was a pretty epic release…i remember dudes were campin out at our local skateshop for these sneakers.  These things are pretty rare these days being that they are 5 years old and Nike not producing anymore.  ”The Pele Dunk SB or also known as Nike Dunk SB Hawaii’s, is inspired by “Pele” the Goddess of Volcanoes. The Hawaiian legends of Pele describe how she caused the eruptions of Volcanoes and her frequent moments of anger. As for the shoe, it features black patent leather, red stitching and orange. Check out this super sick and super memorable sneaker from Nike SB, this is the “Purple Safari” Dunk Low Premium…just check out the super loud colorway, Bison/Varsity Purple.  This is one hot sneaker…the colorway was created by one of the nicest and sickest skaters around, Nike SB Team Rider, Theotis Beasley.  This sneaker is rumored to take its inspiration from the crazy purple and cheetah print jet ski found in the hilarious HBO TV show Eastbound and Down…yes, the infamous jet ski known as the “Panty Dropper” ridden around by baseball’s favorite bad boy, Kenny Powers.  Anyways, the Purple Safari Dunk Low features a bright varsity purple suede toe, side panel and nike swoosh…the safari print is really what stands out here…the safari print accents the toebox, mid panel and heel…definitely one of the brightest colorways we have seen in awhile…if you are lookin to turn some heads these are the sneakers to do it in…good luck matchin these things.  check out some of these Nike SB Purple Safari Dunk Lows for sale through the following eBay auctions below:

Check out one of the newest releases from Nike SB for this month’s collection…this is the Nike SB “Yellow Curb” Dunk Low Premium…this colorway is pretty tight, it is a mix of midnight fog and black yellow.  The idea behind the “Yellow Curb” Dunks is to pay homage to the yellow painted curbs that skaters have waxed and skated for the last 25+ years.  This sneaker also features a unique mix of materials and prints which really makes this sneaker stand out from many Dunk Lows we have seen the past.  These Dunk Lows also feature a black canvas toebox, and a black “griptape” abrasion resistant swoosh and side panels which is really cool; you don’t really see too many dunk lows that are designed around skateboarding…in most instances, the swoosh is one of the first things destroyed from skating…however, with the Yellow Curb Dunks, they made the swoosh and side panels much more durable and conducive to skateboarding.  Another cool feature of this shoe is the  elephant/ cement print adorning the toe, midsole and heel panels.  This is a real skateboard shoe…made for skateboarding while paying tribute to skateboarding…check out some of the Nike SB “Yellow Curb” Dunk Low Premiums for sale below through the following eBay auctions.

Check out the latest Nike SB Quickstrike release for the month of May…this is the “Miller High Life” Dunk low and this is a wonderful concept.  Think about it, Nike SB has already done a shoe for Heineken…the Heineken Dunk Low…so it would only make sense for another beer related sneaker concept.  Personally, I would have thought Nike would do a shoe for PBR before Miller High Life…I mean, PBR is the hippest beer out right now, and hipsters love their SB’s.  Anyways, these sneakers were initially dubbed the “Marvin the Martian” Dunks when the first sample pictures surfaced on the internet…but it was eventually released and dubbed with the theme of the “Champagne of Beers.”  The colorway of the Miller High Life Dunk is really sick…it obviously takes its inspiration from the beer and features a suede and perforated leather upper in the trademarked colors of green, black, red and gold.  There are many very cool aspects of this sneaker, but my favorite detail is definitely the swoosh.  The swoosh and the inside sockliner both consist of a unique gold beer color pattern printed with bubbles and drops of condensation…as if to mimic a nice cold glass of Miller High Life.  Two of the greatest things on earth, beer and sneakers…can it get any better than this?   These exclusive quickstrike sneakers are extremely limited, so you will be lucky to own a pair of these bad boys.  Check out the following Nike SB Miller High Life dunks for sale through these eBay auctions below:

]]> http://www.sneaker-supply.com/09/most-exclusive-sneakers-on-the-planet/feed/ 0 Dunks Inspired by Anchorman, Ron Burgandy http://www.sneaker-supply.com/07/dunks-inspired-by-anchorman-ron-burgandy/ http://www.sneaker-supply.com/07/dunks-inspired-by-anchorman-ron-burgandy/#comments Tue, 28 Jul 2009 22:13:26 +0000 John http://www.sneaker-supply.com/?p=641 “Stay classy, San Diego.”  You might remember those famous words from the super funny movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy that came out in 2004 starring funnyman from SNL Will Ferrell.  No one is more stoked on these sneakers than I am; reciting lines from this movie is an everyday thing for me.  These Nike SB Dunk Lows are mainly a beautiful shade of burgandy which is part of the tribute to the movie, playing on Ron’s last name.  The colorway is also an allusion to the character’s suit in the film.  The red suede is also complemented by gold swooshes on the sides and funky pattern around the heels and on the tongue of sneaker.  This pattern is said to resemble the inner lining of the suit Ron Burgandy is famous for wearing.  As always, I am stoked on the suede in these shoes.  I am usually a sucker for vulcanized shoes and prefer them over normal soles anyday, but the Dunk Low is probably my 2nd favorite style of shoe for skating.  The white sole of these shoes go well with the shite toecap and really make these sneakers pop.  These shoes are scheduled to be released next month in August.  Keep your eyes out for these sneakers…in the meantime, check out some of the Nike SB Dunk Lows available on eBay below.

Check out these pictures of some samples of one of the new Nike Dunk Lows that could be out in the near future…these are the Nike SB Dunk low Toxic Avenger.  These sneakers are inspired by the famous film The Toxic Avenger, which was a pretty tight movie.  The sides of the sneaker have a little insignia written right above the red swoosh…it is unclear as to whether it is pro snowboarder Gigi Rüf’s insignia on the sneaker.  It could be foreshadowing of the future or present for the newest rider for Nike Snowboarding.  Anyways, these are pretty dope sneakers…looks to be mostly leather with a light and dark brown side panel with a bright red Swoosh going through both browns.  The heel has a nice bright yellow  that goes along with the rim of the tongue.  But the best part is perhaps the sole which is a bright yellow and neon green which is truly signature of that slimy superhero we all love.  Look out for more info on these shoes soon.

Check out this newest Dunk Low from Nike SB, the Beijing.  You might remember seeing something similar to this Dunk in the past because there has already been a midtop version of this sneaker that was also known as the Beijing.  This is a really sick sneaker, the colorway is really catchy and pops right out at everyone.  The side panels are a mix of teal and purple along the toecap and heel, and a teal swoosh.  There are other tiny details throughout the shoe that make the shoe come alive such as tiny touches of gray along the heel, and red stitching along the sole and the swoosh…but perhaps my favorite aspect of this sneaker is the red shoelaces…It just stands out so much and draws so much attention to the sneaker.  This shoe reminds me of the old basketball team, the Charlotte Hornets…perfect colors for that team.  These bad boys are pretty limited so keep an eye out for these Nike SB Dunks in the sneaker store.  Check out some of the other Nike SB Dunk Beijing sneakers available for sale through eBay auctions below:
