Check out this new release from Nike SB that should be hitting shops today...the Nike SB Dunk Low "Palm Tree." As a skateboarder, there is a pretty sick concept behind this sneaker...if you don't skate than you might not appreciate this as much. The concept behind this Dunk Low is a tribute to a famous skate spot out in San Francisco...the Wallenberg big four stair set. Wallenberg has been the site for many bangers over the years...thrasher magazine even has an annual contest there to see who can do a 'never been done' trick down the massively long set...last year Chris Cole completely destroyed it with a backside 360 2nd try and a switch frontside flip...anyways, enough about that. The colorway for the Dunk Low Palm Tree was designed by artist and designer, Bob Kronbauer. The green colorway is an homage to a little palm tree that has grown at the spot and has been in all the videos and magazines over the last 20 years since the spot first popped up...listen to the designer explaine it, "The colorway draws a palette from the palm tree itself while utilizing hemp for the Swoosh. The white midsole represents the step and has a visible “waxed ledge” around the top of it, just like that step at Wallenberg. Lastly, the insoles each contain a pixelated image of the palm tree itself, giving a nod to all of the times it has appeared in skate videos over the years.”
These sneakers are also just in time for St. Patrick's day...so put these on and you dont have to worry about getting pinched...i hate that. Check out the following Nike SB Dunk Low Palm Tree shoes for sale through the eBay auctions below.
This is definitely one sneaker I have been looking forward to coming out for a long time. Omar Salazar is one of the sickest skaters out right now...he's always been one of the fastest skaters out there, and his Mind Field part definitely blew minds! I can't say enough good things about this guy, and I am super stoked for him to become one of the few Nike SB Riders with a signature sneaker. The Zoom Omar Salazar signature is sort of a blend of other popular Nike SB sneakers. The Salazar is a mid top sneaker, much like the Blazer Mids, and sports a classic skate design...however, there is nothing classic about the technology of this sneaker. This shoe contains the cutting edge Flywire technology in the heelwrap of the shoe which gives it less weight, a seamless toe cap that will keep these things from ripping, a hidden stash pocket, and Omar's name right across the tongue. The Zoom Omar Salazar comes in two colorways right now: black suede with varsity purple/mercury grey and a red suede with matte silver. These things are so sick, I will definitely be copping a pair of these to show some love for Omar. Check out the following Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar sneakers for sale through the eBay auctions below.
Check out the newest release from the aces over at Nike SB...the Bill Cosby/ Cliff Huxtable Dunk High Premium. This sneaker is fairly obvious in its inspiration; pretty much any American can identify with the Bill Cosby sweater. The colorway is based on the classic sweater design worn by Bill Cosby's infamous character, Cliff Huxtable. One could also identify this sneaker with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air...this style was pretty popular in that show as well...who knows...The trademark multi-color sweater might just be making a comeback. Along with the sweater design, this sneaker features a black leather midsole and swoosh, but the crazy multi-color wool panels really make this sneaker pop. Go out and grab you a pair of these bad boys, and then run out to your local thrift store...I guarantee you will find at least 30 sweaters that will match these bad boys.
