Vans Era, New Summer Collection for 2009

Vans is always looking real good, and you can't really go wrong with their shoe, the Vans Era. It is basically the perfect summer shoe. It's a nice light, lowtop sneaker that works great with or without laces. I prefer to wear these bad boys without socks as well...its a risky move, but it tends to work out. This summer's line of Eras has many different models...basically a style anyone can get down with. Some of these are quite simple and traditional, which is really cool ( don't like the too crazy colorways) and some get more intricate with creative stitching and the classic checkerboard pattern on the mid panels. These sneakers should be hittin the shelves sooner than later to get ready for the coming summer months. If you are still feeling green, don't forget about the eco friendly Vans Authentics...green is always a good idea.
Vans x Usugrow AV Sk8-Low

Let me start off by saying that this might be one of the best looking sneakers I have ever laid my eyes upon. If I could explain and design my dream shoe, it might just be this one. I can not get enough out of a simple black and white sneaker, not to mention all of the little details and intricacies throughout the shoe that make it look that much tighter. Another reason why these sneakers are so hot is that they are AV Sk8-Lows which is one of the best sneakers I have ever skated in...they are very comfortable, grippy and durable...to any of you that are looking for skate shoes that look cool and are actually good for skating, these are the shoes for you, sir. They have a huge vulcanized sole which is sure to give you all the grip you need. Lets not forget that this is Anthony Van Engelen's signature sneaker...you gotta go out and support that guy...or at least check out his newest part in the new Alien Workshop Full Length Video, Mindfield. But, anyways back to the sneakers...the little details in the side panels are really cool, it's like a textured design which you can see in the photos. There is also a flower on the tongue which is just pretty...this whole shoe was inspired by the famous Japanese artist Usugrow, so it would make sense that there are some tattoo like elements throughout the shoe. These sneakers also come in a very special box, so if you are into collecting boxes as well as sneakers...these might be the perfect ones for you. Check out the eBay auctions below on some of the other models in Usugrow's collection, these eBay auctions are for Usugrow Half-Cabs and Sk8-Hi's, but keep an eye out for when the Usugrow Vans AV Sk8-Lows become available on eBay.

Vans Vault Eco Pack, Chukka Boot LX

Alright, we have mentioned this ongoing Eco Pack that Vans has been putting a lot of effort into lately. We've already looked at one model from this collection, the Vans Eco Era LX. I think this is not only a great idea, but a great move on the part of Vans...capitalizing on all of this 'going green' excitement going around where ever you look...the sneakers don't look too bad either. The sneaker consists of mostly a mix of cobbled woven fabrics...and the colorway is pretty earthy yet still extremely wearable. The front panel and tongue is black, along with the lining around the heel. The side panel and heel is a light brown. And, like always these sneakers feature an awesome vulcanized sole, which is what I always love about most Vans...if you skate, skate a vulcanized sole...way better. Keep an eye out for these to be released soon.
